Four Community Managers with Community Association Management Services (CAMS), have been named Certified Managers of Community Associations (CMCA®) by the Community Association Managers International Certification Board (CAMICB). To achieve this certification, candidates must pass the CMCA examination, a rigorous test that measures knowledge of community management best practices. They join more than 20,000 CMCAs worldwide who have demonstrated the skills essential for managing homeowners and condominium associations.
Those who earned their CMCA certifications are:
- Rebecca Duncan, Greenville, SC region
- Bill Figas, Brunswick County, NC region
- Cyndi Perry, Brunswick County, NC region
- Suzanne Edson, Charlotte, NC region
“CAMS has a set of core values to which everyone in our organization strongly adheres and one of these is ‘we are here to learn and grow’,” said CAMS President Dave Orr. “Our team members' efforts to continually pursue educational opportunities and grow professionally is a shining example of this core value in action and we couldn't be prouder of their achievements.”
Over 70 million Americans live in an estimated 345,000 association-governed communities and many of those communities entrust their management to CMCAs. These skilled professionals are trained in the ever-evolving complexities of community association management. CMCA-certified managers have the expertise needed to safeguard the assets of community associations, protect home values, and provide homeowners with peace of mind.
The CMCA is earned through an independent board that sets standards for community association managers worldwide. It is the only organization created solely to certify community association managers and enhance the professional practice of community management.
